iLASIK is now available for 18 years old

For many years it has been said that the eyes need to be 'stable' before laser eye surgery can be performed. For this reason the minimum age requirement was around 20 years and the spectacle prescription had to be the same for at least 12 months. This way of thinking is old fashioned. In some centres, even small children undergo LASIK in special circumstances.

Perfect Vision now offers refractive surgery to any patient over the age of 18 years, even if the spectacle prescription is still changing.

This is because Perfect Vision also guarantees that an enhancement procedure will be performed, at no cost to the patient, if there is any drift in the condition of the eye.

Of course this is still subject to the patient having an eye which is suitable for the procedure in the first place.  They need a corneal thickness sufficient for the procedure. This is easily established at the time of the first consultation.

Perfect Vision would like to bring more young, physically active, patients the joy of freedom from glasses and contact lenses to go about their lives.
